Insightplus™ is an innovative accreditation programme which intends to recognise the learning that students in schools and colleges gain from part-time jobs and voluntary work. Insightplus™ responds to widespread employer concern that many school leavers are unable to identify and evidence their employability skills. The programmes helps to optimise the value of students’ experiences outside of the classroom and to provide a practical career management framework. Drawing together student development initiatives on a local and a national basis, Insightplus™ is working towards a cohesive goal of a single, national, valued system for accrediting extra-curricular learning.
